Session 1 Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a buzzword heard often in enterprises, these days. What, exactly, does SOA mean, anyway? In this session, we’ll talk about what SOA is, as well as why and when you’d want to apply the practices. Specifically, we’ll look at how to use .NET technologies like ASP.NET web services and WCF services to build and consume services.
Session 2 From abstract To virtual: Exploring .NET Types and Objects Value or reference types? Interface or abstract class? And what exactly are generics? This session will try to answer these questions and more as we look at the Common Type System and the various options for defining .NET types. We'll also touch on some of the more important classes and interfaces provided in the Base Class Library. |
